Description: BBL-TE (50X) buffer is a commonly used buffer solution in procedures involving DNA or RNA.  TE buffer functions to solubilize DNA or RNA while protecting it from degradation. This buffer is used at different pH values and has become the standard buffer for the storage of nucleic acids.

Applications:

• Widely used in cell and molecular biology for processes such as protein and nucleic acid extraction and purification.
• Also used as a washing buffer.
• Often used to store DNA and RNA while protecting it from degradation

Note: Some protocols use TE 10:0.1 with 0.1 mM EDTA to reduce the interaction of the EDTA with downstream applications.
